The Balancing Act of Being a Mom

This coming April will mark one year that I've been working outside of the home. For me, it was a huge adjustment going back to work. Finding a routine with a good balance of work, family life, housework and laundry has been hard...really hard!

Part of the problem were all of Bronson's Doctor and clinic appointments. Now that they've slowed down I've been able to relax a little bit more and actually get things done around the house on my precious days off. Yay for laundry that actually makes it into a drawer instead of sitting in a laundry basket!

I'm sure that I'm not the only mom that struggles with this. Regardless of being a stay at home mom, a work at home mom, or a working outside of the home mom - there's always something, or someone, that needs our time and attention.

I've found that putting a load of laundry in when I wake up, and into the dryer while I'm getting ready is a huge time saver. I've also discovered that slow cookers are the best invention EVER!

What do little tricks do you have to help you get things done around the house? I'd love to hear them! :)

I keep chlorox wipes in the bathroom so I can do a quick clean while the kids are in the tub.

I'm still trying to figure out how to balance teaching grade 6 full time, being a mom to 3 and one on the way and still get things done around the house. It is a huge adjustment! Sometimes I wonder if things will ever get easier.
