Potty Training

I've really been wanting to get Kallie potty trained before she turns 2 on February 25. But, I have a feeling that isn't going to happen. She LOVES sitting on the toilet with a book and she would sit there for hours if she could. I have to fight to get her off the toilet and out of the bathroom, but after about 2 months of this she still hasn't gone pee.

I've tried everything I can think of to try and get her to relax and pee. I've put her on every hour, gave her something to drink while on the toilet, and ran the tap water. Still no results. I've noticed that she can easily go 3-4 hours with a dry diaper and even after that long she won't pee on the toilet. However, she thinks it's hilarious when she toots on the toilet because it echoes...she definitely gets that from her Daddy... so she's always trying to push a toot out. But, even with trying to do that she's never managed to poop on the toilet either.

Do you have any ideas? Is there anything I'm not doing that might work?

I've only been using a potty toilet seat on the toilet, is there better luck with using an actual potty?

I'm sick of having 2 kids in diapers and any advice would be welcomed!

I have been potty training for 6-7 months now!!! Ahhhhh! Honestly, this may sound disgusting but it works really well. Let her run around with nothing on her bum at all. It works really well for Wyatt because he seems more aware there is nothing there. Then when I put him on the potty he seems to go right away. But really I guess all you can do is just wait until she is ready! Apparently girls are easier than boys, so I hope when she starts she learns quickly!

Just found your blog! Love it! My advice would be the same- let her run around with nothing on! She'll get it!

I'm always afraid to let her run around naked because I feel like I'll have a huge mess to clean up. But, it's worth a shot! Maybe sometime this week I'll try it out! Thanks! :)
